• Promote, protect & enhance the status; interest of the veterinary nursing profession
• Propose improvement, elaboration or modification of legislation; to support or oppose these changes
• Give guidance regarding profession-related activities, supply information; duplicate and circulate newsletters that promote the aims of the VNASA
• Encourage the extension and promotion of technical knowledge and skill of veterinary nurses through meetings, discussions, journals and magazines
• Promote the veterinary practice through loyal and Skilful dedication
• Prevent cruelty to animals

We, the members of the Veterinary Nurses Association of South Africa, resolve at all times:

• To honour our profession and abide by the prescribed code of ethics
• To endeavour to nurse our patients with skill and compassion and promote their ongoing health and well-being.
• To promote the image and interests of the veterinary nurse both within and without the veterinary field
• To promote the association whenever possible and encourage communication and fellowship amongst its members
